Development of Turbulent Premixed Combustion Model

The conventional approach of modeling the turbulent premixed combustion is by utilizing a conservation equation of the progress variable which is well-known to have high non-linearity. Along with the large gradient near the flame, such high non-linearity is undesirable. The combustion laboratory in POSTECH is developing turbulent premixed combustion models with minimized non-linearity based on the knowledge accumulated by fundamental researches about the turbulent premixed flame.
